Falcona Wins Instructor Training Support Services with the Defense Health Agency

SAN ANTONIO, TX – April 2021 – Falcona is excited to announce that it was awarded a prime contract for Instructor Training Support Services in support of the Defense Health Agency’s Medical Education & Training Campus (METC). The Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) integrated campus (U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy) under a single university-style administration, with nearly 50 programs of study available to U.S. military enlisted students and a small number of foreign military students. METC is located at Joint Base San Antonio on Fort Sam Houston, Texas with a field training site located at Camp Bullis. METC is the largest military medical education and training facility in the world.

Our Falcona team instructs and help lead programs that perform technical and professional training at Fort Sam Houston, TX. Our team is spread across 3 programs: Hospital Corpsman Basic (HCB), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), and Surgical Technology (ST) Programs. The HCB Program prepares enlisted sailors to function as entry-level medical technicians in fixed and non-fixed medical facilities, performing duties to provide quality emergency, nursing, and primary care procedures. The MLT Program provides education and training in the major disciplines of the clinical laboratory to include clinical chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, immunology, microbiology, parasitology, urinalysis, blood donor center operations, specimen collection and processing, and laboratory operations/management. The ST Program provides enlisted personnel from multi-services, selected civilians, and foreign nationals with a basic knowledge of Surgical Technology. Surgical technologists are allied health professionals who are an integral part of the medical team providing surgical care to patients in a variety of settings.
